A 51-year-old man is missing after falling overboard from a Norwegian cruise ship Thursday while it was en route to the Bahamas. Despite an extensive search, the man has not been located.
Norwegian Cruise Line confirmed that the incident occurred around 3 p.m. as the ship was traveling from Ocho Rios, Jamaica, to Nassau, Bahamas. Upon receiving the report, authorities were immediately alerted, and a search and rescue operation was launched under the direction of the Bahamas Rescue Coordination Center.
The cruise line stated that efforts to locate the man have thus far been unsuccessful.
